Day two - Success again

I’ve got to think of a better title J

Tuesday:

  • 35 minutes of Treadmill in the morning
  • Food again was excellent  (~1400 calories)
  • Water – lots and lots
  • No alcohol
Got up at 4 to get on the treadmill again yesterday. Now I certainly didn’t want to because of the late night I had on Monday, but I did it. I had a talk with myself while I was lying there listening to the radio and in the end I won, not my body. I was supposed to do my 30Day Shred but one of the tasks that I didn’t get done on the weekend while I was recuperating was finishing off putting away my Christmas stuff. I have a fairly small storage location in my house (under my stairs) and I dragged almost everything out of there before Christmas and did some purging but my plan was to finish it before I put all the Christmas stuff back. I bought more plastic bins and I’m ready to start purging. Problem is is that it is taking up all my valuable workout space. I have enough to bring my treadmill down (it folds up) and some space to walk, but that’s about it.  I am going to start working on it tonight and hopefully get a good bit done before the weekend.

So Kat, I’m sorry that for this week, I’ve not managed to do any Shred sessions, but I’ve definitely met my Perfect 10 goals of exercising 5x this week (and it’s not even Friday yet).

So I know a lot of you know what Hot Yoga is, but I thought I’d give a little more information on it. The room is set to 104 degrees Fahrenheit and with about 40% humidity. It has mirrors all over so that you can focus on YOU and only you to get the poses done to the best of your ability. There are 26 of them in total and they seem to incorporate just about every muscle in your body. They are done in a specific order to compress and stretch each part of your body. Therefore getting your blood flowing and toxins moving out.  You not only stretch your muscles, but you are strengthening others while pulling your stretch even deeper (compression).  I’m actually a little sore yesterday and today.

Here are a couple of websites that better describe it:

Anyway, at the end of the day, we met up with Ron’s daughter and mother and had a lovely dinner out. I ate well (Salmon and veggie with Soda water).  Afterwards Ron and Daughter wanted to go to the bar to have a drink as she heads back to Ontario tomorrow but I wanted to go home and not tempt myself by sitting in a bar watching them drink. So we went home J  and I had a nice warm bath and off to bed. I was feeling pretty pooped yesterday.

Today as well, and I did not get up at 4 to exercise but chose to sleep until 5. I am doing another yoga session tonight so it’s not like I’m not exercising anyway. Then after that if I have the energy, I will start on that basement purging….time will tell.

Today will be another perfect day!

Hope you all have a fantastic one.

Xxoo
Sandra

  7. I think the hot yoga is probably even better for you than The Shred. No need to apologize - you are meeting your exercise goals and I think we can be fluid about whet we need to do. I think you are doing great with all of your healthy choices!

  10. Hot yoga sounds miserable! No offense, but 104 degrees!? That's what I get for being so hot natured, although that is changing little by little the smaller I get. Great Day Sandra!

Oh, long before you read my blog, the posts were all titled the day of the diet (i.e. Day 276). :-)

  13. Go Sandra,
I am so not a morning person.
And anything that has the word success in it, is always a good title.
