I blew it…

Well after having such a perfect day on Jan 1, I messed up royally yesterday. Well in reality only from about 4:00 on. I exercised, ate well then we went to drive the youngest step son home after having him with us over the holidays.

On our way home, we stopped at the local watering hole where Ron and I first met many years ago. Both of us have quite a few friends that still frequent that place. Well before I knew it, one beer led to another and another and so on and so on. I matched it with club soda but the damage has been done. We visited with folks we haven’t seen in quite some time and although I completely enjoyed it, I am suffering for it now.

I was going to go to another hot yoga session this afternoon but I would just pass out so I’m putting it off until tomorrow. Today I need to re-hydrate and get my body back together. When I added up my calories (which I tracked every single bad choice I made) I almost drank my entire day’s allocation. Talk about bad choices. It is now designated as my one Cheat Day and I will be good the rest of the week.  Tomorrow is my son’s BD and we are going out for dinner. I WILL make only good choices for my meal and beverages.

I am disappointed that I only lasted one day into the new year before I had a bout of drinking but I also know I need to let it go. I can not feel guilty or upset about it and need to just move on from it. What is done is done and I am making the right choices today. I am still rip roaring ready to go!!!

Hope you are having a fantastic day and are making good choices.

  1. At least it is only one day, right? You are already planning for a better day tomorrow too.

  3. Now you know why they say don't drink your calories! Honey we've all done it so move on. Like Steve said you're already planning for a better day today and that's a very good thing.

  4. Hi Sandra, I can totally relate to your post. I had a night like than on NYE. I felt less than optimal the next day... I hope you are feeling better today and were able to enjoy the birthday celebration.
