Perfect 10 Wk4 Results

Perfect 10 Week 4 Results:

Log my Food
This is no longer a challenge for me. I think I should add a caveat to this – Ensure my Calories are in the 1500-1700 range.

Lose 10 lbs
Since this is the end of the month, I am going to weigh in and measure tomorrow. I will post the results then.

Exercise min 5x week
Well I certainly got the Yoga hours in at 6 hrs, and Cardio/ST on at 60 minutes. I did not do anything Tuesday/Thursday and really need to increase this. I’ve got it all planned out for starting on Saturday with the NROL4W so I’ll be on a schedule. I work best with a plan.

Schedule 1 (ONE) Cheat day
I did really good last week. Had my Cheat day on Saturday and still kept my calories pretty low. They came in at around 2200 which was mostly empty calories from Beer. Worried about this weekend as we are kid free and we usually go out big time.

Complete 1 "Modified" 7-day Total Cleanse
Stay tuned in February. Planning for a week then to partake in this cleanse.

For the something you don’t know about me (these are getting harder every week because I keep yak’n my stuff in other folks comments J):

I am absolutely terrified of spiders – yup, this country girl is an arachnophobia baby. When I was very young, we lived in a small town where you pretty much could what you wanted anywhere in town because absolutely everybody knew you and so if you got into trouble, there was always someone around to rescue you (or tell on ya). In one of our homes, instead of a garage, we had what  looked like an old barn with a loft. Well I was up in the loft with two mean boys, I call them mean now because of what they did, but at the time I THOUGHT they were my friends. Well they cornered me in the loft with the biggest, ugliest, creepiest spider I had ever seen. It had a large white body and scared the crap out of me. I screamed and screamed and screamed while they laughed their mean little heads off. I remember it like it happened yesterday.  I feel absolutely nauseous whenever I am near a spider – at 48!! Can you believe it? Ron has to rescue them all the time because I can’t even kill them – oh so creepy – see even writing about it bugs me.

Matcha

Ever heard of Matcha tea? It is a very healthy, very good for you, Japanese tea. I picked some up way back in October of last year and I have a cup of it every once in awhile in the morning. I got out of the habit over Christmas and then remembered I had it last week and started up again. It is a lovely green color (not) and the following are its benefits:

The health benefits of matcha tea exceed those of green tea because when you drink matcha you ingest the whole leaf, not just the brewed water.  One glass of matcha is the equivalent of 10 glasses of green tea in terms of its nutritional value and antioxidant content.  For maximum nutritional benefit, matcha tea is unparalleled.

Matcha Tea – A Nutritious Beverage

·         Rich in Antioxidants and Chlorophyll

·         Contains Catechins Only Found in Green Tea

·         Naturally Mood Enhancing

·         Zero on the Glycemic Index - will not raise insulin levels

·         Sugar-free, High in Fiber

More detail can be found here

I had a hard time stirring it at first until I bought a little whisk, now I can get it so it looks right and is easier to drink.

Well that’s it for today, I hope everyone had a fantastic week in their Perfect 10 goals. I’m going to go read some blogs J

  1. Great work! sounds like everything is on track for you reaching your goals.

I don't mind spiders but I FEAR mice...I hate them, everything about them. The fear is so big that I saw one at the zoo and packed up my kids and left.

  2. You sound like your goals are working for you. Although, I don't have a cheat day, mine would be more of a cheat moment(if I did it for a day, I would vomit cause of my WLS) . Sometimes you need to have something you love every now and then

  3. Nancy, I think naming it Cheat Day is wrong and I should change it, but I guess what I do is just not worry if I do eat something that I really have been craving throughout the day. But I'm still trying to keep my calories within reason. I've had a couple of really bad weekends and learned my lesson from that. Now I just kind of keep it from 4:00 p.m. on that I'm allowed for a couple of hours to eat what I want. Seems to be working.

  4. Hi - Thanks for visiting me and commenting! Sounds like you had a great week. I wish I could do a cheat day, but for now, I need to keep it pretty clean! So many of us floundered last week that I'm thinking it was something from the diminishing ozone layer.

I can do spiders, but never rodents. Not even cute ones in cages. God must have had a brain spasm when He drew them up!

  5. I work best with a plan too, which is why I almost need to work on not planning so much - lol! Don't worry about this weekend because that just leads to too much fretting in general. Just do the best you can and whatever that is will be OK.

  6. Good luck with your weigh-in! I had hypnotherapy for my spider phobia (see last week's Perfect 10 Challenge for that story!) but I managed to bluff my way out of a situation when I was about 11 where two boys cornered me with a huge spider by telling them I wasn't scared of them and it would be wasted on me... They believed me and went off on their merry way! lol

  7. Isn't it amazing how long a fear like that sets with us? I am no fan of spiders myself though, even with an experience like that. :-)

  8. great job on your goals...and I am not a big fan of spiders, but your reaction to spiders is my reaction to snakes.
    lol.
Keep up the great work Sandra.

  9. I think you are doing great on your goals. I have matcha powder. Is yours in powder form? I made smoothies out of it with milk, whey powder and stevia or agave and ice. It tastes like green tea icecream - but is a smoothie. Good luck this weekend. We have guests coming who enjoy the wine, I am working on a plan to enjoy, but not over-do
