Helen I like your format J
Monday
- 35 minutes of cardio in the morning and 90 minutes of Hot Yoga after work.
- Food was excellent (~1400)
- Water was excellent (has to be with doing the yoga)
- And no alcohol (this is important to log).
I got up at 4 and did my treadmill session, did some abs, and stretched. Then went off to work with the rest of the crowds back from the holidays. I did well eating all day, and since I had planned on going to the Hot Yoga at 4:00 p.m., I made sure that I drank a LOT of water throughout the day. I also drank a Emergen-C mineral supplement at about 2:00 p.m., to see if it would help with the energy in the heat. It did.
I left work early, got off the train, then raced to the Yoga building (20 min walk so I got in more walking for the day). I changed, went in the hot room and found a place by the door this time. If she was going to open the door to help cool things off, I wanted to benefit from it this time. I find it hard to breath in such heat but what I also have noticed lately is that I don’t breath right anymore. In my normal day to day living, I’m not breathing deeply and I should be. The yoga classes are going to help with that. I was able to almost complete all of the poses and I was quite pleased with that. Along with completing them, I pulled and stretched more. I really would like to make this work for me. I also wore my bathing suit top and shorts so the drenching was more manageable.
After, I changed, brushed out my soaking wet hair and got picked up to go for dinner with my son and his girlfriend. We went to Open Sesame again which is where you go and choose what veggies, sauces, etc. you would like on your stir fry and they cook it for you and place it your carb of choice (rice or noodles). I did not order any beer, only a soda – I was too thirsty and truly did not have any desire to have a beer. About half way through the dinner, from just sitting around, I was starting to really burn out. I was getting very tired. By the time we got home at 10:30, I was just beat.
But I am proud of my day as I did really well and my goal is to repeat the same today (except no hot yoga) as we are again going out for dinner with Ron’s Mom and youngest daughter as she goes back to Ontario tomorrow. One day I’ll get to eat at home again J
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC day and make good choices.
xxoo Sandra
Great job Sandra! The fact that you've come up with a plan and are working it prior to eating out is half the battle. The other half, of course, is what you choose when you eat out :-)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a wonderful day! I've done hot yoga in the past and now live just a few blocks from a studio. I may have to try it again. I do enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteHave a spectacular day today...
hot yoga is something that I've always wanted to try!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great day.
great job, and that heat would put me in a p*ssy mood. I am not much for heat.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great day! Never even heard of hot yoga. I need to get out more.
ReplyDeleteGreat job Sandra. Awesome combo of work outs and good food choices. Congratulations on a day of good choices.
