Squeaky Knees

Yesterdays steps = 5455 – ya think I was a bit on the lazy side yesterday? Well yup, you would be correct. I didn’t get up and exercise, I walked a little at lunch, and the rest of the steps are just walking around in the office and home. I went for another deep tissue massage yesterday afternoon so all I did last night was hit the foam roller and do a lot of stretching. Not a lot of steps there but that’s OK. I’ll be making up for it again today. I KNOW I will see huge numbers on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday/Sunday so M/W/F will just average those totals out…. Everyone needs easy days right?

I’ve been reading a few posts today about folks that ate just about their entire days worth of calories in one sitting and man oh man can I relate to those posts. But why they have hit me today is because last night I made a conscious choice not to do the same. We went out for dinner & drinks and it just happened to be wing night. One wing can equal a TON of calories but I chose to have a salad with chicken instead. This salad  is not even on their menu but they make it for me anyway. Normally they add cheese to the top, but for me, they don’t put it on at all. The waitresses even remind me sometimes “no cheese right”! Glad they are thinking. Anyway, I mess up normally drinking beer for my calories but last night I made different choices and I’m happy about that. I still shouldn’t have that beer at all but I do, and that’s just the way it is. Fortunately it isn’t often.

Ok, back to massage – she said I have squeaky knees J My muscles are so tight on my hams, quads and IT band that it pulls my knees tight. I would have to agree with her but I thought it was just old age … Oh what the heck have I done to my body. So this is further proof that I MUST, absolutely MUST stretch and use the foam roller every single day.

Boring post today – got so much going on at work today – I actually have to work – imagine that… J

  2. I had a light exercise day today - too light, really. I also have eaten too much. Not a good combination.
