I hope all my American Friends are enjoying the long weekend.
I had such an off week last week. I did really well up until Thursday which is when I completely went off my elimination diet and indulged in cheese, lunch meat, a few crackers and I had a cookie at 3:00p. Then that night the team went out for dinner and I indulged there too! That pretty much set the plan for the weekend. My food was off, I ate stuff that I’m not supposed to and I stuffed myself on Saturday night when we decided to have a roast with Yorkshires and gravy. Haven’t had it in ages, it was cold and rainy outside, so it was like a comfort food and it tasted so good. I ate too much!
I’m glad it is Monday cause I am back on track today. I spent yesterday getting all my foods ready for this week. Lots of fruits, veggies and salads. Evenings will be the normal Veg/Protein type of meal.
Saturday I intended to exercise, but I didn’t. I actually ran out of time. I was busy around the house cleaning, laundry, cooking etc., that I just didn’t get in any real exercising. In fact last week was not as intense as it was the previous 2 weeks. I exercised almost every day but only first thing in the morning, I never made it to see my PT at all. So on Sunday, I ran for my 28 minutes, plus 10 walking. Then I did 40 minutes of the Jillian Michaels Trouble Zones DVD. It’s like the 30D Shred, but it is 40 minutes long, 7 circuits and no cardio. I found some of it difficult to do. I could not do what she calls “surrender”. I have to work on the strength of my legs. You stand with weights above your head, then you kneel down on one knee, bring down the next knee, then stand up one leg at a time while still holding the weights above your head. I could not get back up without putting the weights down, and using my hands on my knees to push myself back into a standing position. I’ve got some work to do on these legs of mine.
This morning, I did another 35minute strength training session called “3T” by Chalene Johnson. I’ve just been feeling like mixing it up a bit. I was going to walk today at lunch but it is still raining outside so if it doesn’t clear up by 11:30, then I won’t be heading out, but if it is semi nice, then I’m hitting the paths. I missed my lunch time walks last week. After work I’m heading to HOT Yoga.
Basically this week I’m back to my 2x a day workouts – sometimes 3.
I hope all of you have a fantastic day and I’m focusing on being on track this week and get my mojo back!

My Pedometer average for last week was 9231 steps.
It was only one off week, glad your back in control today!
ReplyDeleteYup...I've been having a few blowouts lately as well...though like you, I get back on track thereafter. I'm also getting my cardio in, but jeesh...I really shouldn't be exercising to make up for poor choices though I'm guilt-free about those choices and not really gaining weight...but it isn't healthy either. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday to you!! Glad you're getting back on track. You'll be able to "surrender" in no time. :-) Hope you had a good time at HOT yoga. I'll "see" you at the LHA weigh-in!
ReplyDeleteIm glad it's tuesday.
ReplyDeleteI loved the long weekend but DANG it was filled with snacks and treats and too little movement :)
I love my routine and am ready to rock my week.
STARTING NOW.
We all fall down sometimes, just have to pick ourselves up, dust off and get back at it. :)
ReplyDeleteDitto what Miz said. Even though I tried to behave it was just too much everywhere I turned. I'm glad to be back in my "routine."
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are doing a fantastic job of making healthy choices! We all have those off days. We succeed when we don't allow those days to become the norm, but get back into the healthy routine.
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Healthy You... I just started 30D shred today! Jillian Michaels is effing crazy, man. CRAZY!Lol.
