I had the opportunity to connect to the internet at the store in the campground we are staying at. I thought I’d just send a quick note to say “HI”.
The weather has been on and off for the last week but we are making the best of it. Some days it is nice and sunny, others it is pouring rain.
Last year they were working on a new trail between two small cities. They took out the old railway and made it into a 30Km walk/bike trail. Kim and I have gone out on it several times now, walking 2-3 hours at a time. It’s very clean, smooth and of course since it is new, in great shape.
I even got my rollerblades on and gave it a go. I have had these for the last two years but have been afraid to give them a try because the first time I did, I hit those little rocks on the road and almost did face plants several times. AND I need to learn how to stop. The other day, that was still my issue – learning how to stop. Once I get that mastered, I’m 100% sure I will love skating again. I used to do it as a teen but on 4 wheels rather than 3 in a line… :)
We’ve been golfing once so far as well and I plan on going at least a couple more times. All in all, I’ve been keeping pretty active and am in good spirits. I like it when things flow…;
I hope you all are doing well, I’m going to try to catch up on blogs now while I wait for my laundry to finish.

Sounds like a fun and active holiday! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteAllegedly they make these rollerblades meant for off-road/trail use. Still not my cup of tea, but I applaud your efforts!
ReplyDeleteYeah you should really get the STOP down before you take off. Happy skating. smile.
